IFrameThe EC-2VA data logger is used by power distribution companies, facilities management, electrical or site services and maintenance engineers to monitor both voltage and current variations helping them to diagnose any related issues, or to gather data perhaps to make representations to their power supplier. As the product records both voltage and current, users can determine if low voltage is related to high current demands on site, or if the low voltage is being supplied to the site. This new model has detachable coils, allowing you to swap coils, the logger automatically adjusts to compensate for the coil used. You can even swap coils during logging and the logger will record the change.  Note, the Rogowski Coils breaks open at the black joint, allowing it to be placed around cables (of up to 140mm diameter) without having to break the main circuit. Large Orange Rogowski Coils fit around 140mm/5” cables, the smaller Green coils fits 50mm/2” cables.

How to use

The EC-2VA is a single-phase voltage and current data logger that uses a flexible Rogowski coil and plug to connect to the mains supply/equipment you wish to measure.  Setup the Logger using the Electrosoft software, then fit it to the distribution board or other point that you’re going to measure.

This logger is designed to be installed by a competent person (generally an electrician or engineer), and if isolated test points or a mains socket are available can be fitted without power interruption.  Once you’re set up, it’ll start logging automatically as soon as voltage is detected!  The indicator will flash Green when logging.

When the logger’s finished recording (or you’ve captured enough data!) just disconnect from supply, hook it up to your PC and download the information.  Electrosoft will let you view the data immediately on-screen and save or export for later analysis.
